Kim's Coin Math for 10/9/09

Today in math we did some questions about a jar
filled with American coins in it. In the end we
found out that the jar of coins had a total of
$100.00. After making some questions,
each of us had to choose 2 questions that we had to answer.
The 2 questioins that I chose were:

Would the jar look the same if it was converted to Canadian money ?

Yes, it would look the same, because if you
convert it exactly like the money in the
jar, it would look the same, and the jar
doesn't show any dollars in it, it only shows
nickels, dimes, pennys and quarters, which the canadian money also have.

How much would the money be in the jar if it was converted to Canadian money?
I think it would become from $100.00 approximately to $104.32, but at
most of the times it changes because the currencies of American money are
usually higher than Canadian money.
