In class we had to do 22 questions in the math text book. Then we pick one question and answer it on the blog.

Question #14: Three eighths of the 96 adults in the McGregor clan are less than 150 cm tall.

a) Draw a diagram to represent the statement.

b) How many adults in the McGregor clan are less than 150 cm tall? Show your work using equivalent ratios.

96:8 = 12:1 =36:3 So, 36 adults are less than 150 cm tall.

c) How many adults are 150 cm or taller? Explain your thinking.

Theres 36 adults under 150 cm tall, to 96 adults in total and there are 60 adults taller than 150 cm.
