Today at school we had to make ratios about a picture which can be seen at Sargent Park Math Zone. Our homework is posted there also. So here's my homework. (:

5. Equivalent Ratios

To make a equivalent ratio you can multiply or divide the number. For example, 6:4 /2 = 3:2
6:4 x 2 = 12:8.

What mistakes I did and how can I improve it.

I made alot of mistakes, I didn't simplify the answer. For number 17 i put 115/92 = 10/6. I put 6 instead of 8 and i didn't show my work. I can improve my mistakes by simplifying the answer, read the question carefully, think about the question before I answer, and re- read my test before I hand it in.

Rewrite 2 questions that gave me difficulty.

Four students are running for student council president. Of 30 students polled, 14 chose Mikey, 5 chose Patty, 7 chose Bria,and the rest chose Kara. What is the ratio for votes for girls to boys in the student council election? Express the ratio in the lowest terms.
