Today in math in our textbooks we had to answer questions 6, 9, 11, 15, 17 ,19, 20, 21, and 25.

6. The rectangle has an area of 64m2.

6a) 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2=64

6b)Because the number 2 multiplies itself an even number of times

25a)The side length of the photo is 12

25b)The area of the enlarged photo is 1296 cm2

Today in Math, we talk about square root in the foldables and our textbook.We need to answer questions : 6,9,11,13,15,17,19,20,21,22 and 25.

11)What is the square of each number?
a)9
-The square is 81. Because you multiply it by itself.9 squared or 9x9=81

b)11
-The square is 121. Because you multiply it by itself.11 squared or 11x11=121

17)A fridge magnet has an area of 54mm squared. Is 54 a perfect square? Use prime factorization to find the answer?

9. What is the area of a square with a side length?
a) 10
- Area is 100 . Because you times it by itself. 10squared or 10x10

b) 16
- Area is 256.

Today in math Ms. Usiskin told us to do the questions in the text book, or we can finish our number line inside our foldables. I chose to do the number line.

Today in Math class, Ms. Usiskin handed out are math quiz she graded it with letters:







Ms. Usiskin was talking about it for a bit, then we had to try to revise our quiz.



Then we started to go over the homework, which was the foldable on the numberline. Then after that we started to talk about "square roots". Which is the second flap in the first foldable.





sorri if i didn't say everything we did in class i kinda forgot.


THE HOMEWORK: Finish revising quiz and finish your number line (with fractions, with decimals and with your calculator) . REMEMBER to press SQUARE ROOT for the calculations.

Then we discussed about square roots, and how to get them in a calculator. Square roots, side measure of a square the number I can to get the area of a square.
After that we have homework to fill in the number line on our calculator. (with calculator)
