2. We did some changes at version one ,like ,we added music and some new pictures , but we didn't get to add video's. THe student comments were very helpful because we know what to change and what to not.

Answer:
First you have to find the side length of the square..( 30.23). So the hypotenuse is 30.23 and the one leg is 17 cm, now I have to find the other side.

c²-a²= b²
<sup>30.23² - 17² = b²
(30.23x30.23)-(17x17)= b²
913.85-289=b²
624.85=b²

624.85=b²
√624.85=√b²
24.99cm= b

P= a+b+c
=17+24.99+30.23
= 72.22 cm
The perimeter of the triangle is 72.2</sup>

How I stopped an Alien Invasion using Proportion

I was inside my house and then I heard a loud sound comming from my yard. When I looked what it is I was a UFO. The UFO's door opened and a tall, skinny like jelly came out and said " I'm going to take over your planet earth until you tell me what proportion means and giving me 3 equations to know how to use it." So I told then what proportion mean "That proportion is a relationship that says two ratios, or two rates are equivalent ans that it can be explained as a fraction or ratio table" And so after i told them that I gave them 3 questions.

In this question i forgot to put the numbers in lowest term. I put 6:18 and the answer is 1:3.

3. A normal deck of playing cards has 52 cards in four suits(clubs, diamond, hearts, and spades) or 13 cards each. Two of the suits are black and two if the suits are red. The ratio of the red cards to the whole deck is ?

Answer: Churchill River to Mackenzie River,1608/1800=67/75

b) Write a ratio in decimal form to compare the length of the North Saskatchewan River and the Fraser River. Express the ratio as a decimal correct to the nearest hundredth.

Answer: North Saskatchewan River to Fraser River , 1368/1392 =1.02

c) The calculator keying sequence that compares the length of the Thelon River and the Churchill River is C 904 ÷ 1608 = 0.5621890547 Write the decimal to the nearest hundredth. What comparison statement can you make about the length of the two rivers?

Answer: Thelon River to Churchill River 0.56 ,Churchill River is twice the Thelon River.

3 things I know about graphing

1) There are different types of graphs: bar graph, double bar graph, circle graph, pictograph, line graph and double line graph.

2) Always put Title and Labels in a graph.

3) You can distort a bar graph by putting a break in the y axis to mess up the graph.

I would improve my test by putting the raw data.

A bar graph shows an comparison of sound levels.











b) Could you use a line graph to display that data?

No, Because the data are not a comparison over a period of time, a line graph would not be a good choice of graph.


c) Could you use a circle graph to display the data? Explain.

A pictograph could be used, but it would not be as good as a bar graph because of the fractions of pictures need to represent these data.
