Version 1:

Version 2:

The changes from our first to our second video is that we changed what we said and some pictures, then adding new slides with more pictures and of course adding music! then the credits and the video will be about 2:35 or 2:40 around there so it will be way better!!!

Were the student comments helpful in making your final cut better?

How did you find your expert?

We found our expert online.

What did you learn from your expert?

We learned a lot about the environment and that its not just our fault for global warming but its a natural accurance and we can't do any thing about it.

  • What was your greatest success in the 2 minutes project. What skills will you take away with you and use in the future?
  • What frustrated you during the movie making process? What strategies did you use to become successful?
  • Why is the 2 Minutes project important to Grade 8 Students?
  • How will you make a difference in the future?

  • What was your greatest success in the 2 minutes project?

I think it was the information we had and the way we put the music and pictures together.

What skills will you take away with you and use in the future?

the the skills I will use in the future is how to make a movie and put it on youtube.

What frustrated you during the movie making process?

Trying to finish it on time because it was hard to figure out were we wanted to put the voices and the pictures.

What strategies did you use to become successful?

We used what the people told us from the comments for our first video and did them to become successful for our final cut.

  • Why is the 2 Minutes project important to Grade 8 Students?
  • How will you make a difference in the future?

  • Why is the 2 Minutes project important to Grade 8 Students?

I's important because we have to make a difference and to know whats going on around the world and not just where we live.

    How will
you make a difference in the future?
I will make a difference in the future by helping the community by recycling.

Caitlin. T's 2 Minutes to Make a Difference Final Reflection

    Version One

    Version Two/Final Cut

    2. Please reflect and talk about the changes you made between the first and final cut of your movie. Were the student comments helpful in making your final cut better?

What we did to make our video better was that we added background music, also talked louder. We also added more pictures, the credits at the end, and some information from a environmentalist. We added many things to our first draft from many of people's comment's.

    3. How did you find your expert? List 3 important points your expert added to your movie. What did you learn from your expert?

Razel found an expert on some website.

    - we added information like conserving gas.

    -recycling

    -Conserve water and energy.

What I leaned was that global warming is not all our fault it became a natural occurrence which we probably can't fix.

    4. How did you find your expert?

Well I found my expert on a website, but it wasn't a really good response that person told me. I searched up David Suzuki because he's a Canadian environmentalist but all I ended up was with a foundation.( I guess there's no contact to him anymore he's like 72 year's old..). We ended up using what Razel's response was since it was much better.

    6. What was your greatest success in the 2 minutes project. What skills will you take away with you and use in the future?

The greatest success in my project was that we were able to actually finish on time and fix every problem there was to solve. I think everything there is to do to help earth that we were told are the skills I would always use from now on to help with earth because once we make a mistake on earth who knows what would happen.

    7. What frustrated you during the movie making process? What strategies did you use to become successful?

What frustrated me was that I was being so negative that we ended up having a kind of bad version one video. All we did was went to Hannah's place to fix up a bit of thing's and Then Kaitlin and Hannah did the voices in the end.

    8. Why is the 2 Minutes project important to Grade 8 Students?

The 2 Minutes project is not only important to us, 8 graders, but important for the world to know that the environment needs our help to use the 3 R's; Reduce, Re-use, Recycle. Our world will be non-existence if we do not do this. For example, our water and the people who pollute our water or the trees; the more we use the less chance we will have any in the future. We have to work together to keep our world alive and more healthier place to live so we can have more generations to come, life of not only us, but every non-living/living thing.

    9. How will you make a difference in the future?

Well, in the future Also I would like to ask for there to be a law for only families to have only 1 or 2 children in the family to reduce over population. Also maybe I would like it if people could actually think and care for the earth because like what my video said "we'll only live once and so will the earth." The earth is almost 75% full with all cities and luxury. We should stop for once and maybe even have a No Luxury week to save power and electricity. And Always remeber the 3 R's reduce, reuse, recycle.

Richard growing post fraction part 2

    1. Fraction x Fraction. I'm going to show you how multiply fraction x fraction.

    Example: 3/4 x 7/8 you can multiply numerator x numerator which is 3x7 =21.
You can also do the same thing to the denominator x denominator which is 4x8 and you should get 32. So the the answer is 21 over 32 and it should look like this 21/32

2.Fraction x Mixed number. Now i'm going to show you how to multiply fraction x mixed number.

Example: 2/5 x 1 and 1/5s. First convert thee mixed fraction to an improper fraction. So you need to multiply the whole which is 1 to the denominator which is 5. And you should get 5 over 5.It should like this.5/5. Then you multiply numerator x numerator which is 2x5 and it should equal to 10. Now you multiply denominator x denominator. which is 5x5. And it should equal to 25. So your answer should be 10 over 25. It should look like this 10/25.

    3. Mixed fraction x Mixed fraction. In this one i'm going to show you how to multiply mixed fraction x mixed fraction.

Example: 5 and 1/3 x 3 and 1/3. So then as usual you need to always convert both mixed fraction into improper fraction. So it be 16/3 x 10/3. So then now you can multiply numerator x numerator. So it should be 16 x 1o= 160. And same thing happens in the denominator x denominator. It should be 9. So then the answer is 160 over 9. Like this 160/9

    A)

    B)

    C)

    D)

    Part 2
    3/4x7/8=
You can multiply the denominator x denominator and numerator x numerator to get the answer to this question.if you multiply them you would be able to get 21/32

    11/5x2/5=

First you have to make the mixed number into an improper fraction. To do this you have to multiply 1 and 5 and you would get 5 and add the top number to get 6 and you will get 6/5.After this you can multiply them like normal.

    23/4x23/4
To multiply 2 mixed numbers you have to find the improper fraction of both mixed numbers and multiply them together.

    Part One
I cant get the my text book up so i decided to just make my own

    Part Two
I'm supposed to show fraction x fraction , mixed number x fraction and mixed number times mixed number

    fraction x fraction
    5/6 x 4/5
    - all you do is multiply numerator by numerator then denominator x denominator
    - that gives you 20/30
    - DO NOT FORGET TO SIMPLIFY
    - so it would be 2/3

    mixed number x fraction
    11/4 x 3/4
    -
    make mixed number to improper
    - multiply numerator by numerator and denominator by denominator
    - so its 6/4 x 3/4 = 18/16

    mixed number x mixed number
    21/4 x 12/4
    - make both of them improper
    - so its 9/4 x 6/4
    - and just
multiply numerator by numerator and denominator by denominator
    - so it equals 54/16
    - then make that into a mixed
    - so count how many times 16 goes into 54 , then thats your whole and you subtract the product of how times it goes in x denominator , and your remainders are your part

    Part three
now in this part , we were given fraction we did and here they are

    11/2 divided by 3/4
    - first you have to make the lcd ( lowest common denominator )
    - so now its 12/4 x 3/4 = 2

    3/4 divided by 1/2
    - make lowest common denominator so now its
    - 3/4 divided by 2/4 = 11/2

    PICTURES WILL BE POSTED SOON

    Kisha's growing post

I'll upload my video as soon as i get my memory card back.

    part 1:

    part 2:

    part 3

What we're trying to find out is how many sets of 3 could fit into 1 1/2
So first you have to make the denominators the same by finding the lowest common denominator. So you have to change the 1/2 into fourths. Then you count how many 3's could fit into 1 1/2. The answer is 2.

For this one now we're trying to find out how many sets of 2 can fit into 3/4. So again you have to change the 1/2 to fourths. Then you count. How many sets? Only 1 set of 2 can fit. But there's 1 left over and a spot that's empty. So that would make it 1/2 left over. So putting it together the answer will be 1 1/2 can fit into 3/4.
