Amiel's Scribe for feb 3,2010

Key ideas

percents can be combined by adding to solve a problem 5%+7%=12% .to calculate the increase of a # .you can add the combined percent amount to the original # .percents of percents can be used to determine amounts that result from consecutive percent increase or decrease .you can multiply the original # by a single percent greater than 100 [eg. 112% of 100= 1.12x 10 = 112
THE FINAL SALE

3. 1st I found 10% then add it to 100 . Then I found 15% then added all of my answers together which gave me 100.25

Now just find 25% of 100 then add it to 100.25.

You shouldn't have made all the text red/blue. You could've just highlighted the important words. And the way you organized the format is kind of confusing. You also could've used a picture to explain the question you answered, and not just the Key Ideas. Good job though.

Yeah, I agree on what Hannah said. You only use colour font for highlighting key words. Um, you kinda copied the examples from Camille's post. It's basically all the same words and work. But good job at the attempt though..

Good job Amiel but you should only change the colour for showing something important but the picture was really helpful.

Nice job Amiel good job explaining on how to combine percent though you can use the colors better and your picture isn't correct it should have been x1.12 which equals 112

nice attempt amiel. I got lost in your explanation. Your picture is wrong.. like what alex said.. and like what some people mentioned, your usage of color is confusing and you should have only used it for highlighting/ making an important part/word stands out from the rest. anyways, good try

Good job amiel. But as the past 5 maybe people have said, i got a little lost with the way you explained what you were doing, and yes the picture had errors. But nice try , at least now harbeck can probably approach you to where your going wrong and explain to you the proper way of doing it .
