Four 4's Assignment


They both look like very different equations, but they are both the same. The first one is a fraction, and the second one has division symbols. But they both are using four 4's and they both equal 2. The first one has a fraction symbol, that looks like this - and it has a four on top and below it, the bottom number is called the denominator. The top number is called the numerator. If both numbers are the same , that must mean that the fraction equals to a whole. 1 whole plus 1 whole = 2 wholes. The second one has division signs. 4 is being divided by 4. Whenever a number is being divided by itself it could only equal 1, and 1 + 1
would give you the answer of two.
By the way, sorry I always do mine late. I always forget its for homework.
