Camille's blog post for October 5, 2009


They are both division signs because 4/4 is another way of showing 4 ÷ 4 but in a shorter form. Example : if you had a long question like 4 ÷ 4 + 4 ÷ 4 = 2, it would be long, so we make it into a smaller term.
